Two Plate Injection Machine|Two Plate Horizontal Injection Molding Machine-Dakumar

Since the early 90s of last century, Europe, Japan, America, etc. developed countries eliminated three-plate injection machines, which models up to 800T. But adopt two plate injection machine or direct press machine structure. Why?

Now I listed the difference between two plate machine and three plate machine:
1.       Three plate injection molding machine’s clamping force was controlled and estimated by human eyes. But two plate machine was controlled by computer, it realized digital setting, screen display and storage function. Which means three plate machine clamping force not as good as two plate machine.
In addition: imprecise clamping force will cause the 4 problems:
a.       Affect mold air venting
b.       Increase energy cost
c.       Damage mold
d.       Need bigger injection pressure

2.       Generally, three plate machine adopt mechanical type to lock mold, couldn’t modify clamping force automatically. There are big difference to the real clamping force and settled data. It is not good to thin wall or other high precision injection parts. Two plate machine is hydraulic model, can modify the clamping force automatically. Mechanical clamping unit 1mm stroke tolerance will bring very big pressure mistake. Otherwise, the hydraulic clamping only need make sure the bump pressure accurate and stable. So two plate machine’s clamping force is much more stable.

3.       Three plate machine’s adjust mold structure has heavy load, easy seizure. For example: 1600T three plate machine, the adjust mold structure has more than 50T, compared with two plate injection machine, there’s no adjustment structure, so we just need settle the mold thickness=brake position.

4.       Three plate machine moving part action was based on the crank arm, the rotation will damage the arm, which will lose the precision of the machine. We pay much attention to the two plate sealing performance to avoid oil leakage.
