Plastic hanger mould steel material selection always considers the heat strength, stability and steel HRC. Generally we choose:
SC 45 steel: 45# steel has low harness and easy cutting. So the process cost will be lower than others. Some molds with not high capacity and quality requirements, 45# steel is good.
P20: pre-harden plastic mould steel, it is suitable for long time production plastic molds. This steel is good at cutting and normal polish.
718H: 718 steel’s specification is similar to P20 steel, but the quenching degree is better, can make big size and high level plastic molding parts.
H13: H13 steel heat treatment steel, we will do vacuum hardening before process to make the HRC reach to 50 degree.
